It is with great sadness that we report the death of Venice Manley on August 31st 2004. Venice studied Georgian singing with Edisher Garakanidze and led the London Georgian Choir "Maspindzeli" for 4 years from 2000 to 2004. She also gave many workshops in the UK and abroad and was instrumental in popularising Georgian singing among many who heard it for the first time while studying with her. She will be sorely missed.
